Twelfth Annual SUBWAY® BEDRACE FOR BRIDGING

Presented by Cities 97 at Buck Hill

Saturday, March 6, 2010

Twin Cities Live went to Bridging’s warehouse in Bloomington to talk to Fran Heitzman, the non-profit’s founder, about his mission and what the funds raised at the Bedrace will mean to others in need. (Thursday, March 4)

Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun Saturday March 6, 2010 for the 12th Annual Subway Bedrace for Bridging, Presented by Cities 97.

164 teams registered for the event, dressed in crazy unique costumes, raised pledges, danced to the Chris Hawkey Band and had a great time.  It was a great night out at Buck Hill, mild weather with a little drizzle that did not stop the fun or the races.

Big, Big, Big Thank You to our Sponsors:

SUBWAY® Restaurants, CITIES 97, Delta Airlines, KARE 11 TV, Buck Hill Ski Area, Northwestern Mutual Financial-The Columns Resource Group, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, Medtronic, Donaldson Company, Rasmussen College, Xcel Energy, Sam’s Club Shakopee, Minnesota School of Business, Daly Agency, Fabcon, and Walser Foundation.

The bedrace raised nearly $85,000 (and still counting); Your support of this event will enable Bridging to serve over 5,100 families in 2010, half of which are children under the age of 17 and provide beds so kids and their families do not have to sleep on the floor.
