The Ultimate in Recycling
Bridging extends community resources by receiving furniture and household goods donated from a variety of donors: residential, corporate, retail, and the hospitality industry. Through this network of donors, we are able to provide families the necessities of setting up a home.
Bridging is environmentally friendly,
recycling over 100,000 items annually.
In order to adequately meet the needs of 115 families each week, we need your help to stock the shelves. By extending the use of donated items, we address the environmental and social concerns of donors through the distribution of these goods free of charge to families.
To maintain the quality of our service to the people we serve, Bridging asks that all donations be free of rips, stains, pet hair, and in good working condition.

Need a donation receipt?
For donations valued at less than $250, complete the Donation Receipt (pdf) and retain it for your personal records. For donations valued at more than $250, IRS regulations require a donor to obtain a written acknowledgement. To obtain this acknowledgement, please send a request in writing to Bridging. The request must include: your name and mailing address; the date of your donation; and a description of the items you donated. The IRS requires that you, the donor, estimate the fair market value of your donation.
Bridging will provide a receipt for donations valued over $250 that only acknowledges the item(s) donated. A professional appraisal is required when a deduction exceeds $500 for any single item. Please check with your accountant for questions concerning IRS regulations.
