Kind Words from our Volunteers

05/16/2019 by Wendy Erickson

April 7-13 was National Volunteer Week. National Volunteer Week is an opportunity to celebrate the impact of volunteer service and the power of volunteers to make a difference in the world.

At Bridging we recognized our magnificent and marvelous volunteers, by making trail mix (with m&ms of course!) and by sharing kind words of appreciation through #ilovebridgingvolunteersbecause.

Then, Bridging staff members expressed why they appreciate Bridging volunteers. And the responses were amazing…all 150+ of them!

I Love Bridging Volunteers Because…

“… of the kindness they show to all.”
“… they are the definition of servitude!”
“… they are a breath of fresh air when I come in to work in the morning.”
“… Bridging wouldn’t exist without them. :-)”
“… volunteers are the soldiers in the trenches of human need.”
“… they are simply amazing!”

As Founder Fran says, “When good people get together to do good things, good things happen.” Good thing happen every single day at Bridging, thanks to the efforts of our tireless volunteers!
