 – Bridging, a non-profit, that provides donated furniture and household goods to people transitioning out of homelessness and poverty, depends on its volunteers and donors.

And more than 200 social service agencies in the Twin Cities refer people to Bridging once they find affordable housing. It was a vision, Fran Heitzman had back in the mid-1980s. He passed in January 2020 at the age of 94, but employees and volunteers at Bridging say his legacy will carry on. Twin Cities Live reporter Kelli Hanson shows us how this non-profit works.
